Intuicom Announces the Communicator-T for Traffic Signal Communications 

Boulder, CO, December 3, 2003- Intuicom, Inc.™, a leader in wireless data networks, announced the release of the Communicator-T ™, a wireless transceiver designed specifically for traffic signal control networks. The Communicator-T provides Intuicom's "Best in Class" RF performance in a convenient rack-mount card for installation in standard traffic control systems.

The Communicator-T is a high performance wireless traffic link for long-range, high-speed, error-free communication. Designed for industry compatibility, the unit has been built to install and draw power from a standard rack for convenient use with the 170, 2070 or NEMA controllers. Ease of integration, robust performance and a broad set of support tools including network wide diagnostics provide for rapid deployment of a Communicator-T network.

The Communicator-T, which is available in 900 MHz and 2.4 GHz, is compatible with Intuicom's existing Communicator II products. Utilizing state of the art frequency hopping spread spectrum technology, the Communicator-T provides secure, robust, communications up to 115.2 Kbaud over distances of 60+ miles. The Communicator-T offers an extensive set of features including RS-232, RS-485, RS-422 interfaces, broad environmental specifications and the ability to operate as a master, slave, single unit repeater, or a slave/repeater.
