Intuicom Selected by City of Loveland, Colorado for Traffic Control Communications 

Boulder, CO, June 19, 2003- Intuicom, Inc.™, a leader in wireless data networks, has been selected to provide the primary wireless communication components for the city of Loveland’s traffic system infrastructure. Intuicom’s wireless networks will enable bi-directional wireless communication for the management and control of the City of Loveland’s growing traffic signal system.

Growth in Loveland and throughout Colorado’s Front Range has led to increased traffic and congestion on the city’s 225 miles of arterial, collector and local streets. To best manage these increased traffic patterns, the city of Loveland’s Traffic Division utilizes a computerized traffic control system to manage traffic signals and coordinate traffic flows throughout the day. To operate effectively, the traffic control system must maintain robust and reliable communications. It will rely on fiber infrastructure and Intuicom’s wireless products to extend communications to more than 72 traffic signals.

Intuicom has been selected to provide its Communicator™ and Communicator II™ products as the primary components of a wireless communication system to optimize the communications of the traffic control system. Intuicom Communicator products were tested and demonstrated to provide superior performance and reliability for Loveland’s traffic communications.
