The Intuicom Communicator II™ is a RS232 wireless data transceiver built for reliable, long-range operation. This frequency hopping spread spectrum transceiver is offered in 902-928 MHz and 2.4-2.4835 GHz frequencies for license free operation in North America, as well as 228-235 MHz and 277-284 MHz military frequencies. Other frequencies are available upon request. The Communicator II provides 115 KBPS of networkable bandwidth at up to a 60-mile range. Low power operation and a field-hardened enclosure make the unit ideal for remote, environmentally challenging conditions. The Communicator II is typically used in conjunction with Intuicom's network server software as a network gateway base station, or as a bi-directional repeater in an Intuicom wireless network. Communicator II may also be used for remote device interface in certain network architectures involving a single serial interface at the remote node.
